COLOMBO (News 1st); Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa says the imposition of the State of Emergency is counterintuitive to finding a solution to the current economic crisis.
The opposition leader took to Twitter to urge the President to resign immediately.
He further stated that the peaceful protestors are not breaking any laws, and the use of excessive force is only to provoke peaceful protestors so that the Government can justify further aggression.
