COLOMBO (News 1st); Litro Gas said that the shipment ordered from Siamgas and Petrochemicals Public Company Limited, Thailand will reach Sri Lanka by the end of May 2022.
The Chairman of Litro Eng. Vijitha Herath stated that the process of importing gas from Siamgas has already commenced.
Recently, the Sri Lankan Cabinet of Ministers approved the procurement of LP gas from Siamgas for a period of one year.
Chairman Litro was confident that gas stocks from other suppliers would reach the island within the next two weeks.
Meanwhile, News 1st also inquired from Laugfs Gasregarding the current gas crisis.
The Chairman of Laugfs W.K.H Wegapitiya said Laugfs would receive the gas in five days.
He further said that the stocks of gas will be received following the opening of LCs (Letters of Credit).
