COLOMBO (News 1st): A decision has been reached to expand the distribution of fuel via trains, the Department of Railways said. 

Plans are in place to distribute 05 million litres of fuel via trains on a daily basis, in the near future, Dhammika Jayasundara, the General Manager of Railway told News 1st.

At present, 3.4 million litres of fuel are being distributed via trains daily.

The Minister of Power and Energy is set to chair a meeting on Tuesday morning (May 3), regarding the expansion of fuel distribution via trains.
