Independent MPs conceptually agree on National Consensus Government

COLOMBO (News 1st) Independent MPs including Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila reached a conceptual agreement to form a National Consensus Government during talks with the President at the President’s House.

MP Sanjeeva Edirimanna told reporters that the proposals put forward by several parties to the President to form a National Consensus Government were discussed at the meeting.

SLPP Chairman, Minister (Professor) G.L Peiris, Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa, Minister (Dr) Ramesh Pathirana, and Party General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam are represented the SLPP.

MPs Nimal Siripala de Silva, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, and Tiran Alles represented the Independent MPs.
