COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Trade, Shehan Semasinghe says that a decision has been reached to sell Rice imported under the Indian Line of Credit, to consumers at concessionary prices through Sathosa Outlets and Supermarkets.

According to the Minister, the consignment consists of Kekulu, Nadu and Samba Rice.

Whilst pointing out that Rice imported under the Indian Credit Line is already available at Sathosa outlets, Minister Semasinghe stated that leading Supermarket chains have also agreed to sell Rice imported under the Indian Credit Line, at the same concessionary prices if stocks are supplied to them.
