COLOMBO (News 1st); The last rites of Chaminda Lakshan, who was shot dead by the police in Rambukkana, will be held today (23).
His final rites will be observed at the Hiriwadunna cemetery.
The mortal remains of Lakshan was brought to his residence last morning.
The42- years old father of two was shot dead by police during a recent protest in Rambukkana.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Public Security Prasanna Ranatunga stated that instructions have been issued to increase security measures in all parts of the country including the Rambukkana Hiriwadunna area to maintain peace.
