BASL requests for 21st amendment, abolition of Executive Presidency and interim Govt

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) today (23) issued a release highlighting a number of proposals to restore political and economic stability in the country. 

The BASL has called for the introduction of the 21st Amendment to the constitution, in addition to the abolition of Executive Presidency and the introduction of an interim Government comprising of 15 Cabinet Ministers, and for the establishment of an independent Advisory Council consisting of 15 qualified professionals from disciplines corresponding to the 15 Ministries.
