Achievements of Govt are reflection of inclusive development: President

COLOMBO (News 1st); President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has said that Sri Lanka welcomes investment, technical exchanges, financing as well as extensive development assistance and loan restructuring assistance to revive the country's economy.

Addressing the 4th Asia Pacific Water Summit, President Rajapaksa said that the achievements of his Government are a reflection of the present Government's initiative to bring about inclusive development.

Speaking further, the President said that in recent years, Sri Lanka has been able to provide 50% more new water connections than in previous years despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

The President stated that it is the duty of the Government to manage water for sustainable development for future generations.
