COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Sri Lankan Prime Minister & UNP MP in Parliament Ranil Wickremesinghe has agreed with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa’s call for the government’s road map for the future.

The Opposition Leader on Friday (22) questioned the government’s delay in introducing a road map to address the economic situation.

“We need to know if the country is in a disorderly default.. Have you appointed the Financial and Legal Advisors for Debt Restructuring programs? We have been informed that there are attempt to hire a legal firm that appeared for one’s overseas legal cases, as the legal team for the Debt Restructuring program,” he told the house.

He called on the government to divert the funds that were allocated for road development, for the purpose of giving relief to the people, and to present a new budget for this purpose.

Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe adding to Premadasa’s comments called for the Economic Road Map of the Government to be presented in the coming week, citing that Sri Lanka will run out of fuel and fertilizer, soon.
