From Kandy to Colombo ; Trio March to Galle Face

COLOMBO (News 1st); Three youth from Kandy decided to support the Occupy Galle Face protest in Colombo by walking all the way from the hill capital to the beach-side protest site in the capital Colombo.

They commenced their walk from the Kandy town on Friday (22), with the aim of gathering more support along the way for the protests against the mismanagement of the economy, the President, and the Prime Minister.

Protests have erupted across Sri Lanka calling for the immediate resignation of the President, and the Government.

Protestors blame the government for the present economic crisis and the rising cost of living.
