COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Meteorology announced that showers or thundershowers will occur at several places, such as Sabaragamuwa, Central & Uva provinces, and in Batticaloa, Polonnaruwa, and Hambanthota districts during the evening or night.

Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds & lightning during thundershowers.
