NO limit for fuel in agriculture sector

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said that there is no limit to the amount of fuel that will be distributed for agriculture purposes.

The Chairman of the CPC, Sumith Wijesinghe said that the amount of Petrol & Diesel issued for cars, vans, and SUVs has been limited.

He also said that the supply of fuel to containers, buckets, and plastic tanks brought by people has been further suspended.

Further, he said that the owners of bowsers engaged in fuel transportation have been called in to immediately to streamline the distribution process.

The Petrol Station Owners' Association said that many problems have arisen with the restriction of fuel sales.

However, people are still queuing up to purchase fuel.
