Fuel limits will NOT affect essential services; CPC

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) emphasizes that the restrictions on fuel will not affect essential services.

The Chairman of the CPC, Sumith Wijesinghe said fuel could be obtained from filling stations for essential services.

Meanwhile, fuel for motorcycles, three-wheelers, cars, vans, and jeeps at Ceypetco filling stations was restricted from 1.00 PM on Friday (15) for two weeks.

Accordingly, fuel for motorcycles can be released for a maximum of Rs.1000/-.

Three-wheelers will be limited to Rs. 1,500/-, while cars, vans, jeeps, and other vehicles will be imposed a limit of Rs. 5,000/-.
