COLOMBO (News 1st); The State Ministry of Pharmaceuticals Regulation & Supply said that 6 types of essential medicines have been imported.
The Secretary of the State Ministry of Pharmaceuticals Regulation & Supply, Dr. Saman Ratnayake stated that many medicines will be available in the next few days.
Further, he said that nearly 40 types of medicines are currently in short supply in hospitals and as a result, patients are facing severe difficulties.
Dr. Saman Ratnayake said that part of the shortage of medicines has been agreed to be supplied by local manufacturers.
