COLOMBO (News 1st): It goes without saying that these are difficult, challenging times for ordinary Sri Lankans.

More so, for those already living below the poverty line.

The rising cost of living has affected almost everyone, especially low-income families in rural Sri Lanka.

With the Sri Lankan New Year around the corner, Gammadda launched its ‘Avurudu Smiles’ initiative, in which needy families will be given a pack of food provisions to help them tide over these difficult times.

While it is impossible to help everyone, Gammadda decided that it would do what it can, and is thankful to the kind hearts who spontaneously supported this cause.

Starting today, the packs of provisions will be delivered throughout the island, through the Gammadda network.
