Three of same family dead in motor accident

COLOMBO (News 1st); Three members of the same family died in a motor accident on the Udawalawe road in Thanamalwila this afternoon (07).

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the accident took place when a cab and a three wheeler collided head on.

The mother, father and daughter of the same family, residents of Badulla died in the accident.

The Thanamalwila Police have commenced investigations into the accident while the driver of the cab was arrested in connection with the incident, police added.
