Shortages will be resolved soon, public should not underestimate trust placed in Govt

COLOMBO (News 1st); Parliamentarian D.B. Herath assures that the gas cylinder shortage and the diesel shortage will be resolved in another two or three days. 

Speaking to media, the MP stated that the mass pressure caused by fuel and gas shortages will be resolved very soon.

He also said that the country has reached a stage where the current power cuts lasting 6 and a half hours can be minimized.

"In such a context, the public should not underestimate the trust placed in the Government," he added.

Meanwhile, SLFP MP Sudarshana Denipitiya stated that the ships carrying fuel which come along with the Indian credit line will assist in resolving this crisis, adding that even now, the CPC stated that 40,000 MT of fuel is being unloaded.
