COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Opposition is preparing to move a proposal to abolish the Executive Presidency.
Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella said the proposal would be tabled in Parliament soon.
"The opposition leader made a proposal that we can make changes with the agreement of both sides. I am requesting to re-enact the 19th amendment. We will present a bill to abolish the executive presidency very soon. Please consider it," he told the house.
