COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) long distance and short distance buses will only operate until 6:00 p.m. today (02).

However, the service will resume again at 6:00 a.m. on Monday (4).

The Government took steps to impose island wide curfew from 6:00 p.m. today (02) until 6:00 a.m. on Monday (04) as well.

Moreover, the Railway Department stated that all mail trains scheduled to run tonight have been canceled.

The Superintendent of Transport, Gamini Seneviratne stated that passenger trains will run only until 12:00 midnight tonight.

He added that only freight and fuel trains will run tomorrow (3).
