23 suspects in connection with Mirihana protest, remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st); 23 suspects who were arrested following the protest in the Mirihana and were being treated at the Kalubowila Hospital have been remanded till Monday (04).
The suspects were remanded after Mount Lavinia Magistrate Ravi Matugama observed them, and subsequently ordered for the suspects are to be produced for an identification parade on 4th April.
53 suspects were arrested in connection with the protest and 21 were released by the Nugegoda Magistrate's Court at around 11 last night (01).
Nugegoda Magistrate Prasanna Alwis also ordered another six suspects to be remanded and produced at an identification parade on Monday.
