COLOMBO (News 1st); Bus Associations say long-distance bus service could be severely disrupted on Friday (1st April) due to the shortage of Diesel.
President of the Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association, Gemunu Wijeratne stated that normal bus services have also been restricted.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board, Kingsley Ranawaka stated that steps will be taken to bring all buses owned by the service into operation on Friday (1st April).
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Railways, Gamini Seneviratne said that there are stocks of fuel required to operate trains for the next few days.
Meanwhile, the All Ceylon School Student Transport Association said that due to the shortage of Diesel, school children are unable to travel on Friday (1st April).
