Fuel shortage & Power Cuts affects postal service

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Fuel shortage and power cuts have severely affected the postal service in Sri Lanka.

Deputy Post Master General, Rajitha Ranasinghe said that due to this situation, the delivery of letters could be delayed by about a day.

He added that the situation could continue until next week.

The Deputy Post Master General further said that the process of selecting letters and processing mail bags will be carried out at night as well.
