Politicians, PUCSL disregarded proposals - CEB Engineers

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Engineers Union of the Ceylon Electricity Board said that the low capacity of water at reservoirs and the shortage of fuel, are the main causes for the electricity crisis in Sri Lanka.

The Chairman of the Union Anil Ranjith Induwara said the politicians, and the Public Utilities Commission disregarded their proposals aimed as solving the crisis.

Further, the Chairman said that the time for power cuts will be extended in the future, and this issue will persist, adding that the Barge-Mounted Power Plant has fuel for another three days alone.
