COLOMBO (News 1st); The vessel carrying 3500 MT of gas from Oman that reached Colombo commenced gas distribution from Monday (28) midnight.

Litro said it had distributed more than 100,000 gas cylinders.

But people are still waiting in long queues to buy gas.

Many gas distribution centers in the country are experiencing tense situations as a result of the shortage.

People gathered at the Polwatta Stadium in Ambalangoda on Tuesday (29) morning to obtain gas.

The people who were waiting in the queue alleged that the Government is NOT taking necessary actions regarding the crises ongoing in the country.
