COLOMBO (News 1st); Two suspects have been arrested in the Devamotta, Negombo with a firearm, a hand grenade, and drugs.

Police said that two suspects from Minuwangoda were arrested with a foreign-made revolver, a hand grenade, 10g & 100mg of Heroin in a raid carried out on a tip-off received by the Negombo Divisional Crime Bureau.

Police further said that the suspects had been involved in extortion and ransom demands, and had links with members of organized crime gangs abroad.
