Two more deaths due to drowning

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two persons have died after drowning off Chilaw seas.

The Police stated that they met with the accident while bathing in the sea.

The deceased have been identified as two residents of Nanu Oya.

According to Police, three persons were swept away by the sea while bathing yesterday afternoon and one person was subsequently rescued by the residents of the area.

Three more incidents of death by drowning were also reported today (26), when two residents of Rajagiriya and Colombo 12 areas and a Pallekelle resident died while bathing.
