COLOMBO (News 1st); The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) says that it is currently reviewing the electricity tariff revision.
Its Chairman, Janaka Ratnayake stated that the tariff revisions will be based on a report submitted on electricity tariffs, and said that the process could take up to a month’s time.
However, he said that the PUCSL was of the opinion that it was not fair to increase electricity tariffs at a time when the public is experiencing power cuts as well.
