COLOMBO (News 1st); The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) summit will commence on the 28th of March in Sri Lanka.
The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the conference will be held from 28th until the 30th of March.
Senior officials and Foreign Ministers from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Thailand are scheduled to visit Sri Lanka for the BIMSTEC Senior Officers’ Meeting and Cabinet Meeting to be held on the 28th and 29th.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will preside over the BIMSTEC Summit on the 30th of this month, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar will also be in attendance at the summit.
