Ranjan pleads guilty to second contempt of Court case

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former MP Ranjan Ramanayake plead guilty for the second case of contempt of court, when he was produced before the Supreme Court today (25) accompanied by prison officials.

The Attorney General has filed this case following an order issued by the Supreme Court concluding that a statement made by Ramanayake at a program held at a media institution was in contempt of court.
