No legal issues in approaching IMF: Minister (Dr) Ramesh Pathirana

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Co-Cabinet Spokesperson, MP (Dr) Ramesh Pathirana states that the Government has taken steps to hire a US based legal firm for assistance during the process of debt restructuring. 

Speaking at the Cabinet Media Briefing today (22), the Co-Cabinet Spokesperson also assured that the Government is not facing any legal issues with regard to debt restructuring, and the process to hire a company on a long term basis will be transparent as much as possible.

He added that the Government has technical committee, an economic council and also an expert council to advise the committee.
