School term examinations under three categories

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Education says that it has been decided to conduct school term examinations in the Western Province under three categories.

According to the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Prof. Kapila Perera, term examinations will be held at the provincial level for grades 11 in the Western Province, at the zonal level for grades 9 and 10 and at the school level for grades 6, 7 and 8.

The Secretary to the Ministry further stated that it has been informed that term examinations will be held in other provinces at the provincial level without any hindrance.

The Secretary to the President has already agreed to direct a request under the Indian loan facility in case of any problem in obtaining the required paper for examinations.
