COLOMBO (News 1st); The right to leisure should not be restricted to only a single family, says National People’s Power MP Harini Amarasuriya.
Speaking during a meeting held in Kundasale, the MP cited an event when a Minister of Sri Lanka was seen engaging in water sports during an official visit to the Maldives. Stating that she is not against anyone engaging in leisure activities and having a good time, the MP said that the right to happiness and fun should not be restricted to only one family.
Moreover, MP Amarasuriya emphasized that all citizens have the right to enjoy themselves, engage in sports and to live a satisfied life without any burdens.
“Every citizen in this country are enshrined with the right to have fun. We are representing and fighting for that right,” she added.
