Thousands of Protestors converge on Sri Lankan Presidents Office

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's main opposition faction, the Samagi Jana Balavegaya blocked the road opposite the Presidential Secretariat venting their anger against the government that has increased the prices of many goods.

The SJB says that the government has increased the cost of living to an unbearable level..

Protestors from many parts of the country marched to Colombo and stationed themselves opposite the Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday (15) evening demanding the President bring down the prices of goods.

The protest movement was led by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
