The never-ending Mirihana Milk Powder queue

COLOMBO (News 1st); Many Sri Lankans are continuing to experience hardships due to the shortage of milk powder.

News 1st Correspondents stated that on Tuesday (15) there were long queues at the Mirihana outlet of a local milk powder company with the hope of getting milk powder.

It was reported that a limited number of milk powder packets were sold per customer, however, they had to also purchase yogurt with milk powder.

Following an incident that took place on December 29, 2021, on the instructions of the President, the Police intervened and held several discussions to introduce a new method of releasing milk powder from this market, but now there are long queues again, highlighting the fact that NO mechanism was introduced.
