Another Thermal Plant coming up at Kelanithissa

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Power, Pavithra Vanniarachchi stated that another Thermal Power plant will be set up at the Kelanitissa Power Plant Complex.

She said that steps have been taken to focus on renewable energy sources to address the power shortage currently faced by the country.

She further stated that this year, steps will be taken to add 700 MW to the National Grid and to construct another 105 MW Thermal Power Plant at the Kelanitissa Power Plant Complex.
