Permission granted to increase prices of medicine: Prof. Jayasumana

COLOMBO (News 1st); State Minister of Drug Production, Supply and Regulation Prof. Channa Jayasumana states that permission was granted today to increase the price of medicine in a reasonable manner relative to the exchange rate.

Accordingly, he assured that there will be no shortage of medicine in the country.

Prof. Channa Jayasumana added that the Ministry has decided to introduce the methodology to increase the prices of drugs in a fair manner against the value of the dollar today (10) and has informed drug importers of it as well.
