COLOMBO (News 1st): Furnace Oil will be supplied to all Power Plants on Wednesday night (Mar. 9), the Ministry of Energy said.
The unloading process of the Furnace Oil shipment that reached Sri Lanka will commence on Wednesday morning (9) and accordingly, Furnace Oil will first be supplied to the Barge Mounted Power Plant at the Colombo Port, by afternoon (9), K. D. R. Olga, the Secretary to the Energy Ministry told News 1st.
Two ships carrying Diesel have reached the country and according to K. D. R. Olga, the Energy Ministry expects the unloading process of one of the Diesel shipments to conclude on Wednesday morning (9).
Another ship carrying 38,000 metric tonnes of Diesel is scheduled to reach Sri Lanka and the respective payment will be settled on Wednesday (9).
