SLFP does not want to overthrow the Govt; only to get it on the right track: Shantha Bandara

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Freedom Party Publicity Secretary, Shantha Bandara says that while the SLFP is rapidly developing, its intention is to get the Government on the right track, and not to overthrow it.

The SLFP member, speaking to media, alleged that the party is being attacked by various other parties and leaders, however they have not seen its' capability as of yet.

However, he stated that if the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and its leadership is insulted, the party will respond strongly in the future.

"The Sri Lanka Freedom Party is not an isolated party, nor is it a political party limited to 14 members. We are a party that is rapidly developing," he said.

Additionally, Bandara said that a discussion between the President and SLFP members will be held to present solutions to the issues that are plaguing the country at present. Accordingly, the SLFP members will point out the shortcomings of the Government not to overthrow it, but to get the Government on the right track in good faith.
