COLOMBO (News 1st); Fuel should have been prioritized when it comes to imports, followed by medicine and food, says Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Hector Appuhami.

Remarking on the fuel crisis in the country, the SJB Parliamentarian alleged that the Government continues to use dollars for non-essential imports, therefore it must be inquired whether they are receiving a commission out of these imports.

Emphasizing that it is a heinous crime if anyone is receiving commissions from non-essential imports, the MP pointed out that people are on the streets and are in queues.

He further stated that it is surprising that the public is not attacking any members of the Government.

"We demand the 6.9 million who voted for this Government, to please control the Government you put into power. Open your mouths, demand this government to fix this mess," he added.
