(News 1st); The Indian Foreign Ministry says that an Indian student, who was continuing his final year medicine lost his life in shelling in Ukraine on Tuesday (March 1st) morning.
The student who passed away is in resident in Karnataka’s Haveri, who died when Russian soldiers blew up a Government building on Tuesday (March 1st).
The Indian Foreign Secretary, Harsh Vardhan Shringla called in the ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine to “reiterate India’s demand for urgent safe passage for Indian nationals”.
Russia and Ukraine must respond to the need for safe passage urgently, said sources.
“We are in touch with his family, and we convey our deepest condolences to the family,” tweeted the Indian External Affairs Ministry.
