Fire breaks out at warehouse in Jampettah Street

COLOMBO (News 1st); A fire broke out in a warehouse where chemicals were stored in the Jampettah Street in Colombo.

The Colombo Fire Brigade stated that about 12 service vehicles were deployed to douse the fire, and the fire was put out after about an hour and a half.

The officer in charge of the fire department, M.A.B. Senadhira stated that the warehouse was completely destroyed by the fire.

The cause of the fire has not been revealed yet, he added.
