Rainfall expected in many provinces

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Meterology Department predicts heavy showers of more than 50 mm in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in several places, such as Galle, Matara and Kandy districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the North Central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Nuwara Eliya, Matale and Hambantota districts, the Department said.

The Meteorological Department warns the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and Thundershowers.
