Power cuts exceeding 4-hours today (24) as well

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) on Wednesday (Feb. 23) granted approval for the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to disrupt the supply of electricity for over 04-hours today (24) as well. As per the power cut schedule, Groups A, B, and C will experience power cuts for 4 hours and 40 minutes; while all other groups will experience power cuts for 4 hours and 30 minutes, Janaka Ratnayake, the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission told News 1st. According to the CEB, power cuts will be experienced in the areas of Colombo 1 to 15, starting today (Feb. 24). A decision is yet to be reached regarding the power cut schedule for Colombo 01 to 15, Andrew Nawamani, the Spokesperson for the Ceylon Electricity Board noted.
