Farmers from across the country in Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st); A group including Farmers representing the Mahaweli Movement and Farmers around the country marched to the Ministry of Agriculture on Monday (21).

The march was organized to highlight the issues faced by the farmer community in Sri Lanka and to demand solutions to 8 of the key issues.

Furthermore, a petition signed by Farmers belonging to major irrigation projects and minor irrigation projects was handed over to the Ministry of Agriculture.
