Majority in Cabinet want to go to IMF ; Gammanpila

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila stated that the majority view of the Cabinet is that the assistance of the International Monetary Fund is required to solve the Sri Lanka's financial crisis.

Speaking to reporters on Friday (18), Gammanpila said he advocated to go to the IMF for a long period.

He said the Finance Ministry and Central Bank must reach a final decision on the matter.
