App & QR for Fully Vaccinated Status, soon

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Health, Keheliya Rambukwalla stated that the decision to make the vaccination card compulsory in public places has been approved.

He further stated that the card was made mandatory as a matter of policy decision.

Accordingly, the ministry will decide in the future where the vaccination card will be mandatory, he said.

The Minister stated that the Ministry of Technology has announced that the mobile phone application and the QR Code for the full vaccination status will be officially handed over on April 30, 2022.

Moreover, the Minister said that the decision to make the vaccination card compulsory will be implemented after the completion of those activities.
