COLOMBO (News 1st); A Sri Lankan court on Friday (11) sentenced a Maldivian man to life in prison after he was found guilty on a drug possession charge.

The Maldivian was guilty of possessing 265 grams of heroin and was sentenced by the Colombo High Court.

He was arrested by the Police Narcotic Bureau on the 22nd of April 2016 from Bambalapitiya.

Another man who was also charged with the same offense was released from all charges.
