President orders probe on principal appointment

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed the Education Secretary to conduct an inquiry to determine if any influence was made when appointing principals to National Schools.

A statement from the President's Media Division noted that the President instructed to inquire if influence was exerted to the Interview Board of the Public Services Commission's Education Services Committee, before or after the interview.
