Ipalogama village helpless due to drinking water crisis

COLOMBO (News 1st); The people in Sirikkulama, Ipalogama village are inconvenienced due to the lack of clean drinking water.

15 years ago, a Community Based Organization provided water facilities to Sirikkulama, Ipalogama, that is home to approximately 105 families.

However, the villagers point out that the water from this organization is not sufficient and the well dug up for this purpose is also in a dilapidated state.

The villagers point out that the water obtained from the Kala wewa is distributed to the villages located close by using pipes.

However, that project does not include the Sirikkulama village.

The villagers are seeking assistance from the authorities to solve this issue.
