21 Roads in Colombo closed on Independence Day

COLOMBO (News 1st): 21 roads in Colombo will be closed on the 4th of February 2022, for Independence Day, said Sri Lanka Police.
"These 21 roads in Colombo will be closed from 5 AM until the close of Independence Day proceedings," said Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakkon on Monday (31) as a media briefing.
He requested the general public to use alternative routes to avoid any inconvenience.
In addition, invitees can proceed to the venue of the celebrations in their vehicles while displaying the invitation and the respective car park details, until 7:30 AM on the 4th of February.
